Ottawa Police Constable (Ret.)
On January 13, 2013 at 64 years of age, David Richey, retired Ottawa Police Constable, passed away. Originally from Smiths Falls, he leaves in mourning his beloved wife Jocelyne Richey (nee Malouin); His loving daughters Tara Lynne Richey and Nathalie Carrier (Colin Whitehouse), and the apples of his eyes, his grandchildren Freddy and Stella. He will also be terribly missed by his sisters: Marilyn Knapp, Karen Richey and Donna Schmidt (nee Richey) and their spouses and families, notably Const. Kelly Menna who became a Police Officer because of him. He was well loved by his father-in-law (Henri Malouin), step-mother, and an army of brothers and sisters-in-law, nephews, and nieces, aunts and uncles, former colleagues and incredible friends. Relatives and friends will be received at Heritage Funeral Home, 2871 St. Joseph Blvd., Orléans, on Sunday, January 20, from 1–2 p.m. Funeral Service will follow in the Heritage Chapel at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ottawa Mission would be appreciated.
